We started the meal with some deep fried prawns, $6NZD. They’re not really prawns, of course, but do look like them. They were very tasty and we enjoyed watching them be cooked in front of us!
Wendy had the Buddha’s Delight which was deep fried, breaded mock duck served on a bed of lettuce. It wasn’t really what she was expecting and wasn’t very good, either. It was mostly lettuce and quite heavy. Ian had the lamb curry, which was made with mock lamb, of course. It was mildly spicy and the “lamb” was good but the vegetables were overcooked.Overall, we were disappointed. We’ve had this kind of mock meat before and it’s been truly excellent. This really missed the mark, which was too bad because this type of hole-in-the-wall restaurant is usually our favorite kind of place to eat!
hey you might’ve been on the wrong day, usually its a very good place to eat!

That could well be! Unfortunately we can only speak from our experience there, but we appreciate you sharing yours. If we ever find ourselves back in Wellington, we’d be happy to give it another try!
