We had just eaten dinner at the very affordably priced E Chi Ban Cafe right across the street.  We started strolling back to our hotel when we spotted a gelato place across the street with a line up out the door and spilling out onto the sidewalk.  We figured it had to be good if people were willing to wait in line, so we decided to give it a try!

Well, we weren’t disappointed!  Giapo (279-281 Queen Street, next to the Civic Theater) offered lots of flavors to choose from and portions were generous!  They only use organic milk and try to use organic fresh fruit.  They also offer sorbets, which are both vegan and fat free!  We tried the gelato, which was delicious!  The cone it was served in was crunchy with just the right hint of sweetness.  A lovely treat on a warm evening (or even a cold one!)
