We stayed at the Allamanda Beach Club, the only cheap option on East Shoal Bay. Of course, cheap wasn’t really cheap – it was still $160 a night, and it wasn’t even technically on the water It was about a 2 minute walk down a path to get to the water. We didn’t have a view, although the rooms on the top floor do (at a premium).
The hotel room wasn’t that nice. It did have a kitchenette with everything you need to cook, but the room was definitely worn – see the pictures at the bottom of this post. At half the prices I wouldn’t care – but at that price, a fresh coat of paint would have been appreciated. There is a pool directly in front of the hotel – but we’re not sure why you would hang out at the pool when there is such a beautiful beach so close by.
This video shows the walk from the hotel to the beach.
