From the Wolseong Park we crossed the street and visited the gorgeous lotus flower ponds which are next to the Anapji Pond. We didn’t actually make it into Anapji, we enjoyed the lotus flowers so much we stayed for quite a while. There are a group of rectangular ponds, all filled with lotus flowers in bloom, and all linked with trails and boardwalks running between them. We spent a lot of time photographing the flowers, the dragonflies that land on them, and the scene in general. There were quite a few photography buffs out taking photos and we had a “conversation” with one gentleman who told us he’d snapped a photo of the two of us, bent over, intently photographing a flower at the side of the path. We exchanged business cards, so hopefully he’ll send us a copy!
