Well, it’s 6AM in California and we’re finally headed to bed here in Seoul where it’s 10pm. We flew in earlier today, arriving around 5pm local time. The airport is beautiful and extremely modern. The bus service is incredibly well organized complete with flat screen tv and a voice to announce the stations in English and Korean! Found the hotel with the help of a very kind gentleman who took pity on us (there are no street sign, nor street names – need I say more?). Even found a restaurant where we ate traditional Korean vegetarian food. And found our way back home again.
Tomorrow we are planning to take in the National Museum, housed in a former palace, another palace and do some shopping in the district we’re in – Insadong. We saw maybe 5 people tonight who weren’t Korean. (Although possibly some are Japanese, etc). And we’re in the heart of the tourist district. Very cool.
