Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear also visited the Sheikh as part of his “Motorworld” series, and got to see inside the large truck and the museum. Check it out here.

Been there, again it was not open, and still says that it will be refurbished in 2005, this is three years later!
Very impressive, the cars are magnificent, and some of the trucks huge and impressive.
Can thoroughly recommend it.

How can we go there? Do we need an invitation or there is a time when this is open for the public to go over and appreciate the huge collection of cars. Is there any tickets to be purchased for the same. Please let me know when next can we go and have a look at the amazing collection. I and my hubby with couple of freinds would love to go there.

As far as we know, it is not open to the public. We took an overnight safari tour with Arabian Adventures, and stopped in on the way back and the security guard let us in to have a quick look around. We gave him a nice tip at the end of our tour and he seemed very happy.

The route to the car museum is
From Abu Dhabi or Dubai take the route to Tarif, Sila.
Take the exit (going to the left) to Hameem after Mussafah Intersection.
Watch for a Giant Land Rover Parked facing the road and a Pyramid shaped building, approximately 10km from the Tarif highway.
After visiting the museum, Drive further 140km to reach the beautiful Liwa oasis and largest dunes in the earth, Tal Mareb.
