Exploring the Mosel Valley was very peaceful and picturesque. We went into a couple of wineries, but outside of peak tourist season, we had a hard time finding any that were open. It was a very different feeling to wine tasting in California, which is much more commercialized. The constant sweeping views of the Mosel river and the terraced vineyards on either side was really spectacular and we couldn't believe how quiet it was.
