This is the ferry we had just taken over to Belle-Ile (Beautiful Island). Belle-Ile is actually home to the decendants of some of the Acadians who got kicked out of what is today Nova Scotia when the English took possession of it. Apparently upon their arrival back in France they introduced a new vegetable - the potato.
