We stayed in the Arenal Observatory Lodge. Normally this would have been way out of our price range, but fortunately, we were able to stay in their "second-class accomodation" La Casona, which has slightly more reasonable rooms, a 500m walk down from the hotel. Bring a flashlight, it's dark and unlit at night!
