Milford Sound
Cruising along Milford Sound was a great way to finish our trip.
Knights Point
The vista from Knights Point near Wanaka was incredible.

Punting on the Avon River was a lovely way to spend the afternoon in Christchurch.
Marlborough Wine Region
Our first step on the South Island was touring the wineries of the Marlborough Wine Region. The wineries were all very kid friendly, too.
Wellington
We spent a couple of days in Wellington before heading to the South Island. We were impressed by the museums and the views from the surrounding hills and parks.
Rotorua Museum
The museum is surrounded by a beautiful park with lots of room for young ones to play.
The Sky Tower, Auckland
For a fabulous view of the area around Auckland, the Sky Tower can't be beat. We went up just as the sun was setting.

Morepark Cafe, Waitomo

Outdoor seating on the deck at Morepark Cafe, Waitomo Morepark Cafe is in the YHA. There is indoor seating and an outdoor elevated deck area. The umbrella covered seating overlooks a tree-filled ravine which makes for a peaceful backdrop for a relaxed meal.…
